Culture Night | Limerick 23rd September

Fresh is delighted to screen films as part of Culture Night 2022.

4:15 – 6:00 – Fresh is delighted to take part in the National Youth Film and Animation members screening. Featuring award winning national films from Ireland’s Young Filmmaker of the Year 2022 and the best films from member festivals and groups. This screening is hosted @ Kilmurry Arts Centre, Castletroy.

5:00 – 8:30 – As part of Dance Limerick’s Programme Fresh will screen two short ‘ Moving Pictures’  collections of experimental and movement based short films made by young international filmmakers. @ Dance Limerick

The Hothouse Project at Fresh with RTÉ and Screen Ireland responds to the needs of advanced and award winning young filmmakers who work alone or in isolation and it aims to provide an intensive filmmaking experience. This programme is designed to challenge and advance film knowledge and skill. In the past Lance Daly, Dearbhla Walsh, Donal Foreman, John Butler, Sarah Gavron, and Jim Sheridan have given masterclasses as part of this programme.

The aim of the Hothouse is to support and promote the next generation of filmmakers by giving young independent makers a safe creative space in which to develop ideas and projects.
