Extraordinary young people, amazing stories This unique event showcases films from across the globe. All made by young filmmakers with inspiring stories to tell. From Ukraine to South Korea, these film celebrate diversity and determination. Introduction by Sinéad Collopy, writer of the RTÉ short film ‘Every Five Miles’ Sinéad Collopy (Smother, Hidden assets, Every Five Miles) Sinéad is a Limerick-born, award-winning screenwriter whose work is heavily inspired by her twenty years of experience in child protective services in Ireland. Sinéad script Every Five Miles was produced as part of RTE’s Storyland and centers on a woman’s journey to help a car-washer she suspects is the victim of people-trafficking in Ireland. Sinéad’s work has been selected by the BAI Mentorship scheme, the BBC Writer’s Room, and Her debut feature script ’77 was selected for development through the Screen Ireland Spotlight Scheme in 2020.
