Join us for the Martini Shot of Fresh International Film Festival 2023 for our Ireland's Young Filmmaker’s Forum, by and for Ireland’s next generation of filmmakers, on April 1st at the Engine, Limerick. Enjoy a day dedicated to filmmaking and filmmakers with networking, workshops, masterclasses with industry experts culminating in a pitching competition.

Get to know one another with our lighting fast Shutter-Speed dating. Make sure you know what your favourite film is, it’s bound to come up!

Get stuck into our Pitching Masterclass with Limerick’s own award-winning screenwriter Sinead Collopy (Smother, Hidden assets, Every Five Miles) where she’ll guide you into crafting the perfect pitch ahead of The Fresh Pitch.

Sundance-Award Winning Cinematographer, director and producer Michael Lavelle (Patrick's Day, Cardboard Gangsters, Float Like a Butterfly, Let the Wrong One In) will give a Masterclass in Cinematography, which will shed light on how to light a scene, as well as how best to use your camera to tell the story.
14:00 - 15:30
Get moving with Oscar Nominated film director, and former Fresh Filmmaker of the year Conor McMahon (Let the Wrong One In, Dead Meat, Republic of Telly) and his directing masterclass, where he’ll demystify how to work with actors, staging and blocking scenes. Any aspiring actors are welcome to take the spotlight here too!
15:30 - 16:00
The Fresh Pitch
Take the floor with our annual pitching competition (hope you were taking notes in Sinead’s class!). A panel of judges will determine who will win best pitch. We want to hear your best, wildest ideas, anything from a short film, feature movie or television series. It’s a fun way to share ideas and generate creativity, get helpful, productive feedback and propel you into the next year of filmmaking full of Fresh imagination.
And, as they say, that’s a wrap!
