Part-Time Position
Fresh Film is Ireland’s leading organisation dedicated to supporting and celebrating young
filmmakers. Each year, we present the Fresh International Film Festival and Ireland’s
Young Filmmaker of the Year Awards, alongside year-round programmes that champion
creativity, diversity, and youth voices in film.
Role Overview
Fresh Film is seeking an experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Projects Coordinator to
join our small, ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate
about film, youth creativity, and event delivery.
Working closely with the Artistic Director and Company Manager, the Projects
Coordinator will play a key role in the smooth running of our annual festival and related
projects. The role is part-time – 2 days per week (including 1 day office-based in Limerick).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and coordination of the Fresh International Film Festival and
Ireland’s Young Filmmaker of the Year Awards. - Coordinate project-based work throughout the year.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
- Liaise with filmmakers, schools, partners, and venues to ensure smooth delivery of programming. Support the development and implementation of audience engagement and outreach strategies.
- Contribute to reporting and evaluation of festival and programme activities.
- Work collaboratively with the Artistic Director, Company Manager, and wider Fresh
Film team to ensure the high-quality delivery of all projects.
Person Specification
Essential
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience in event coordination or arts administration.
- A passion for film and supporting young creatives.
Desirable
- Knowledge of arts, film education, and youth engagement.
- Experience with audience development and outreach.
- Familiarity with digital tools for project management and communications (e.g. Google Drive, Canva).
Terms & Conditions
- Salary: €14,400 per annum
- Hours: 16 hours per week, 2 days (Monday–Friday). Some evening and weekend work may be required.
- Contract: Initial 2 year contract with a 6-month probation period.
- Location: Fresh Film office, 1 John’s Square, Limerick.
- Leave: 20 days annual leave (pro rata to 8 days) plus statutory and public holidays.
